The epic conclusion!
With the Breaker of Edifices infected by the Bloom, the group had to rally the rest of the fae to assist in driving the titan back.
Astrid failed to persuade the court to assist, as her logic-driven arguments failed to appeal to the lords and ladies of glamour and wonder. Instead, Vorx interceded with their patron, the Judge, persuading him that the group would spread stories of the fae's largess and grandeur far and wide. Finally, they persuaded the dragon to act and promised that they would shout of its glories to all other dragons.
With the dragon rallied, the great crimson beast clawed and scorched the Bloom-ridden Breaker of Edifices in its large, stone-giant form. On the surrounding hills, other fae came to watch, wearing their courtly masks and with silken tents behind them.
Aided by the investigators and by Stonk's attacks, the dragon burned the Breaker to a blackened crisp.
And soon, it was all over. The portal to the Bloom's realm was closed. The fragment of the Bloom infesting the fae lord, the Breaker of Edifices, had been scorched clear.
They returned to the detective agency.
Dox closed the case, putting the folder in a drawer marked 'Closed Cases'. It was the only file there.
Vorx returned to their legal agency.
Stonks returned to the streets, to protect the people from monsters.
Astrid went back to her lab. On her desk, there remained a few sample test tubes. One of them was labelled 'Bloom spores'...
