Zeitgeist S04E05: A Disrupted Auction
A terrible explosion of wild magic rocked the gathering.
Elanor gasped at the intrusion and the rich society of upper class guests and their organised crime associates fled the room. Sora was transformed back into flesh, with umbrellas and coats draped across her, and stood there, confused, blinking.
In the confusion, Tal'zahr rushed over to Isobel, the last eladrin, and freed her of her chains before she could be transferred to the new owner. Then, he took her, used a spell to increase his speed and fled the area.
Meanwhile, Nicholas Nicolovich, would-be owner of the last eladrin, shouted his displeasure and summoned undead creatures to terrify the remaining party members. The battle was joined! Sora was so wounded that she fled the scene of the battle.
Meanwhile , Mickey, Robert and Bram were left to fight the undead horrors. Eventually, they were joined by Mr . Mapple, and the tide turned. Nicholas fled, but the undead creatures were defeated by the party, and especially by Bram's healing light.
The group reconvened at the train, talking to Isobel who remained unspeaking. Mapple offered to take her somewhere safe, but where? Eladrin were still hunted across the world, particularly by the Holy Order of Reladon, in the mistaken belief that they were cruel overlords who had once enslaved humanity. Mapple could escort Isobel to Tal'zahr's mother, but any people following Mapple there could compromise an entire stronghold of eladrin. Reluctantly, Tal'zahr agreed that Mapple should take Isobel to Gale, the terrorist. While not ideologically the best person, Tal'zahr knew that Gale could deal with any threats and would do anything to keep a fellow eladrin safe.
Isobel and Mapple left the train. And then it started up again, towards its final destination.
Mickey racked his brains to figure out who the Obscurati agents were. The group discussed this and the best they could come up with was that Verzublack and Bree were definitely agents, but they still did not know who the mastermind was.
As the group discussed matters, it was late. The next stop, Sid Minos, would be the last. There was a knock outside. Bree stood without, holding a lantern. She wanted to talk.
Mickey invited her inside. As they chatted, the lantern gave off a purple flame and the group found themselves trapped in Tenebra, the Underworld, the train still hurtling forward on its tracks. Worse, ghosts wailed outside, and one of them was Oliver Boone, the serial murderer they had killed, now looking for revenge...
